Add Freesbe meetings to Outlook for everyone
Outlook only shows meeting add-ins that a Microsoft 365 admin added for the organization. Once you’ve added Freesbe, everyone sees Freesbe meeting where Teams usually is, in Outlook on the web, Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android.
You need to be an admin in Freesbe and a Microsoft 365 admin who can manage integrated apps (or work with one).
1. Copy the manifest link from Freesbe
Section titled “1. Copy the manifest link from Freesbe”- Open the Admin Center and go to Integrations → Calendar.
- Under Outlook add-in, make sure Let people add Freesbe meetings from Outlook is on.
- Copy the Manifest link.
2. Add it in the Microsoft 365 admin center
Section titled “2. Add it in the Microsoft 365 admin center”- In the Microsoft 365 admin center, open Settings, then Integrated apps.
- Choose Upload custom apps, then Office Add-in.
- Choose Provide link to the manifest file, paste the link and click Validate.
- Pick who gets it: everyone, or some users and groups. Accept the permissions and Deploy.
It can take up to a day before the add-in shows in everyone’s Outlook.
3. Tell your team
Section titled “3. Tell your team”Each person signs in to Freesbe once, the first time they turn on Freesbe meeting in an event, and picks the workspace their meetings go in. Guests in your Freesbe workspace can’t connect it.
Where Teams isn’t set up, Outlook uses Freesbe on its own. Where it is, each person makes Freesbe their default once: see Make Freesbe your Outlook meeting.
Turning it off
Section titled “Turning it off”Turn off Let people add Freesbe meetings from Outlook to stop it in your workspace at once. Outlook then tells people the add-in is turned off. Meetings already made keep working. To take the button out of Outlook too, remove the add-in in Integrated apps.
