A message shows on one device but not another

A message shows in one place, such as the desktop app, but not in another, such as a browser tab or your phone.

Why it happens

The device was offline or asleep when the message arrived. Freesbe checks the conversation you have open with the server every time the app reconnects (for example after your computer wakes up) and when you come back to the window after a minute away, so a missed message usually fills in by itself.

Fix it

Reload: Ctrl+R (Cmd+R on a Mac). That loads the conversation again from the server.

If it’s still missing after a reload, check you’re in the same workspace on both devices, then email support@freesbe.net with the channel and roughly when the message was sent.
