Crypto wallets

Watch your company’s crypto wallets and every payment in or out posts into a channel: a customer’s USDT landing on Tron, bitcoin leaving the cold wallet, ETH moving to the payroll wallet. Freesbe only needs each wallet’s public address, never a key, a seed phrase or access to the wallet.

Each card shows the amount, what it’s worth in US dollars, which of your wallets it touched, who sent it or where it went, and a View transaction button that opens it on the network’s block explorer. When money moves between two of your own wallets, the card names them instead of showing an address. The cards come from Crypto wallets, so nobody’s account is borrowed.

Only owners and admins can add wallets, in Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations → Finance → Crypto wallets.

Network Coin and stablecoins followed How quickly it posts
Bitcoin BTC Within a minute
Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism ETH, USDC, USDT As it happens
Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche POL, BNB or AVAX, USDC, USDT As it happens
Solana SOL, USDC, USDT As it happens
Tron TRX, USDT, USDC Within a minute

Other tokens sent to a public address are mostly spam, so Freesbe leaves them out. USDC and USDT count as dollars.

Bitcoin and Tron are checked every minute, and every five minutes once a wallet has been quiet for an hour; anything new puts it back on every minute. A bitcoin payment posts as soon as it’s seen, marked Waiting for a block, and the same card changes to Confirmed once it’s mined.

Nothing from before you added a wallet posts, and each payment posts once.

  1. In Freesbe, open Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations → Finance and, under Crypto wallets, click Watch a wallet.
  2. Pick the Network and paste the wallet’s Address. Copy it from the wallet or the exchange you withdraw to, so there’s no typo.
  3. Give it a Name people will recognize, like Treasury cold wallet.
  4. Pick the channel and what to post (below), and click Watch wallet.

The same address can be watched on more than one network, like an Ethereum address on Base too: add it once for each.

When you add a wallet, or later from its ⋯ menu → Edit, pick:

  • Post to channel. Money is private, so a private channel for your finance team works best. Wallets posting to a private channel are only visible to admins who are in it.
  • Alerts to post: Money in, Money out, or both.
  • Smallest amount to post, in US dollars. Leaves out dust. Freesbe values each coin with Kraken’s dollar price.
  • Balance alerts. Up to five, like USDT drops below 10,000 or BTC goes above 5. Each posts once when the balance crosses the line, and again only after it has come back and crossed again.

Under the list, Daily summary of all wallets posts one card a day at the hour you pick, in your time zone: each wallet’s balances with their dollar value, and the total.

From the wallet’s ⋯ menu:

  • Send a test alert posts a sample card, marked as a sample, into the channel.
  • Turn off stops posting. When you turn it back on, Freesbe carries on from then, without posting what happened while it was off.
  • Stop watching removes the wallet from Freesbe. Nothing changes in the wallet itself, and cards already posted stay in the channel.

If a network’s data provider is busy or down, the wallet shows Can’t read the wallet and says why, and Freesbe tries again shortly. Nothing is lost: the next check reads everything since the last one. If a wallet never shows activity, check the address and the network: a USDT address on Tron and one on Ethereum look nothing alike, and a wallet watched on the wrong chain stays quiet.
